Dr. John Burkhartsmeyer was raised on a cattle ranch in
northern Montana. He
attended Colorado State University, obtaining a B.S. and going on
to receive his D.V.M. in 1976. He practiced in Helena, Montana
for 10 years before moving to Santa Clarita in the mid 1980s. Dr. B. initially had the
Animal Clinic of SCV in Saugus and later moved to Newhall in
1990. He is a member
of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal
Hospital Association, the California Veterinary Medical Association
and is a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Santa
Clarita. |
Dr. Mariko Kramer received both her B.S. and D.V.M. (2009) from UC Davis. She continued on to complete a small animal internship at Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group (VMSG) in Ventura. Before vet school, she took some time off and spent an amazing year working in Melbourne, Australia. Dr. Kramer is interested in internal medicine and cytology and also has a passion for shelter medicine. She married her high school sweetheart and they live together with Riley a German Shepherd mix adopted from the colony dog program at UC Davis. In her spare time, Dr. Kramer enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, camping, canoeing, and fishing. |

After graduating from the Cleveland Humanities Magnet Program in Reseda, CA, Dr. Tran attended California State University at Northridge where she received a Bachelor’s degree in biology. She went on to pursue her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the University of California at Davis. While at Davis, she volunteered at the University’s Raptor Center, treating and rehabilitating injured owls and hawks. She also spent time in the zoological medicine department at U.C. Davis during her Junior and Senior years. Dr. Tran has been working at Santa Clarita Veterinary Hospital since 1995, where she is dedicated to caring for domestic and exotic pets. Her other interests include gardening, the environment, singing, music, outdoor activities, photography, traveling, painting, gourmet cuisine and spending time with her family. Dr. Jennifer Adelini is a Santa Clarita Valley native. She graduated from Hart High School in 1991. After receiving her bachelors degree in biology, she graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. In her spare time, she enjoys the company of her twin girls and her husband. She has a dog named Shelby who loves to go on walks. |

Dr. Kari Walsh grew up in Santa Clarita and is a graduate of Valencia High School. She completed her undergraduate degree in Animal science and DVM (2011) at UC Davis, studying mixed animal medicine (small, equine, food and exotics) while in veterinary school. Dr. Walsh is interested in research and has spent 8 years in the fields of canine genetics and comparative reproduction. She lives with Corra, her cocker spaniel adopted from vet school, and Henry, a Pacific Parrotlet. In her spare time she loves working at her relatives' cattle ranch and riding her mule. |

After graduating from Notre Dame High School Preparatory in Sherman Oaks, CA, Dr. Danielle Lasley received her undergraduate degree from UCLA and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (2009) from Western University of Health Sciences. Dr. Lasley is interested in small animal dermatology and ophthalmology and exotic animal medicine. Her interests include drawing, painting, traveling, but most of all spending time with her husband, son, and extended family including her doggy "Yogi". |
